Supporting Students with Special Educational Needs (SEND)

The aim of the Special Educational Needs Department at The Douay Martyrs Catholic Secondary School is to ensure that all students have access to a wide, balanced and appropriate curriculum in line with the school’s mission statement.

Support is offered to students in a range of formats depending on an individual’s needs, this could include differentiation of classwork, small group work, LSA support or other in-school interventions. The Douay Martyrs Catholic Secondary School also works with a range of external agents including: Educational Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist and a Hearing Advisory Teacher to ensure positive outcomes for all students.
