Staff and students at The Douay Martyrs Catholic Secondary School are celebrating another successful year for A Level and Vocational results.

A strong performance by students in Year 13 saw the percentage of A Level passes at grades A*-B remain high at 33% and a successful amount of A Level pass grades. Year 13 students are currently confirming their offers and accepting their places at universities with many being accepted into top Russell Group Universities due to their amazing achievements.

High-performing students who deserve a special mention at A Level include: Dion (A* Chemistry, A*Mathematics, A* Physics),  Artur (A*Mathematics, A* Physics, A Computer Science), Sumiyah (A* Economics, A Biology, A Chemistry), James (A Biology, A Chemistry, B Mathematics), Perwinne (A* Media and Film A Psychology B in Biology), Emily  (A Business Studies, A Economics B Geography), Molly (A* Sociology A Psychology B History), Sayhan Mohammad (A* Biology A Chemistry B Maths).

An incredibly special mention to Ethan, despite serious health issues Ethan has achieved impressive grades over his two years in the Sixth Form (B grades for both Business Studies and Economics and C in Psychology).

Academic A Level subjects which have seen particularly impressive results this year include Biology, Chemistry, Physics and French. Vocational subject success continues with all subjects achieving a 100% pass rate, followed by an increase in the number of A/A* (Distinction*/Distinction) grades.

These fabulous results reflect the dedication of staff and students at Douay Martyrs plus the ongoing support of our supportive parents. The Sixth Form team have supported our students through some individual challenging personal circumstances. The team have offered on-going support putting our students at the centre as always whilst maintaining our students focus, resilience and future vision.

We look forward to welcoming and preparing the next intake of students into our expanding Sixth Form who we know will have equally high aspirations and will go on to achieve excellent results once again next year.
