Examination Results Summer 2017
Summer examination success for Douay Martyrs students.
This summer saw another set of excellent exam results for Year 11 and 13 students. At GCSE level 20% of entries were graded at A*-A or 9-7 grade. The number of students who achieved 5 “good” passes including English and maths increased by 6% to 71%, and the average attainment of Year 11 students also increased from 2016. Results in the English and RE departments were also significantly improved from the previous years, with more students achieving both “good” grades, and the highest 9-7 or A*-A grades. Moreover, both the Attainment 8 and Progress 8 measures improved again this year.
At A-Level, results again showed improvement on previous years and the vast majority of Year 13 students were able to gain entry to their first choice Universities. The number of students gaining the highest grades increased from previous years, with 10% of maths entries and 16% of physics entries gaining the coveted A* grade!
