Douay Martyrs students again celebrate great examination success!

Following an impressive set of A-Level results last week, this week it was the turn of Year 11 students to end weeks of trepidation and receive their GCSE results. Despite the increased challenge of new GCSE’s our students performed magnificently and again overall results place the school's performance in the top 25% nationally. Subjects where results were especially strong were English, Religious Studies and Mathematics, with the progress made by our English Studies students in the top 10% nationally. There were a number of outstanding student performances with three students securing the highest “9” grade in over eight separate subjects. Overall, one-fifth of all grades awarded to our students were at the highest category of grades 9-7.

Congratulations to the Class of 2019 whose diligence and hard work paid off. We look forward to seeing you in our Sixth Form next month.
