UKMT Maths Challenge
On Thursday 26th April our Year 8 pupils took part in the UKMT Junior Maths Challenge.
This national competition involves an hour long paper of problem solving and challenge questions which students must complete, armed only with a pencil and their intellect!
We were delighted to receive the results of the competition at the end of June. Over a third of students entered for the competition scored highly and were awarded certificates. An amazing 16 students gained a Bronze certificate, 6 gained Silver and 4 obtained Gold certificates.
Particular congratulations go to Akshayian Ganesharatnam, who made it through to the next stage of the competition (the Junior Kangaroo) and passed.
Thank you to our students for taking the time to participate in the competition. We look forward to taking on next year’s challenge!
