The Jack Petchey Award

The Jack Petchey Foundation was established in 1999. It is an organisation which is designed to celebrate young people in London and Essex. Grants and funding is provided for projects which help young people aspire to reach their goals. Furthermore, The Jack Petchey Foundation also runs a programme of Achievement Awards. Within this scheme, schools are able to celebrate student achievement and reward initiative and hard work.

The Douay Martyrs Catholic Secondary School are fortunate to have Gold Status which means that we can nominate nine students per year for a Jack Petchey Award for particular achievement in the community. We are very proud of the initiative that our award winners have demonstrated, which is celebrated annually at The Jack Petchey Award Ceremony at the The Beck Theatre in Hayes.
