Enrichment Activities:
The Music Department offers a wide range of enrichment activities which students can attend. Activities run both during lunch times and after school.

Club / Activity Information
Lower & Upper School Choir A lunchtime rehearsal for those that enjoying singing. Lower School takes place on a Monday lunch and Upper School on a Tuesday Lunch.
Orchestra After school rehearsal on a Tuesday for any musicians. All are welcome to attend!
Rock Bands A lunchtime rehearsal for those that enjoying rocking, playing upbeat tunes/songs. DeLorean band takes place on Wednesdays lunch and Junior Band takes place on Fridays lunch.
Keyboard Club A Tuesday lunchtime club for Year 7 & 8 students, providing an opportunity to develop keyboard skills. Please see poster in attachments for further information.
Drumming Club A lunchtime rehearsal for those that enjoying playing tuned and un-tuned percussion instruments in African and Brazilian style. All years are welcome. Rehearsals take place during lunch time on Thursdays.
Composition Club Help with the composition, solo/ensemble performances for Y9-Y13 on Wednesdays during lunch.
GCSE Revision Club (Spring/Summer Term only) Help with the theory revision Y10-Y13 on Mondays after school.
DMS (Autumn Term only) Rehearsals on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school.

Sudents are able to take part in a wide range of performance opportunities throughout the school year, with roles in our annual production, carol concert, liturgical events, GCSE Music evenings and spring concert.

Peripatetic Lessons:
The Music Department offers a wide range of instrumental lessons. Actively learning to play an instrument can help a child’s academic achievement. There is little doubt that learning to play a musical instrument is great for developing brains and skills needed for lifelong learning.  Playing a musical instrument also enhances their engagement with the arts and understanding of culture in society. Instrumental lessons occur during the school day on a rotational basis and incur a fee. Details of different instrumental lessons on offer:
