What we cover in each year group:

Number; algebra; ratio and proportion; shape, space and measure; data handling (KS3 & KS4).  Each strand is covered in increasing complexity throughout both key stages. KS5 A2 Mathematics, Pure Mathematics (2/3 of the course) and Statistics & Mechanics (1/3 of the course).  KS5 A2 Further Mathematics, Further Pure Mathematics with option modules including Statistics, Mechanics and Decision Mathematics.

Qualifications and pathways: GCSE Mathematics Foundation (grades 1 – 5) Higher (grades 4-9).  A2 Mathematics (Edexcel 9MA0), A2 Further Mathematics (Edexcel 9FM0)

Enrichment opportunities: Lunchtime drop in help sessions take place every Tuesday and are available to all students. Dedicated revision sessions are offered for year groups sitting public examinations including during half terms and Saturday classes. Encryption and code breaking trip to Warwick University and other STEM trips throughout the year. November Trip to see ‘The Curious Coincidence of Maths in the Day-Time’ at The Gielgud Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, London. Mathematics Masterclasses Series for Year 9 students offered by Hillingdon Mathematical Society taking place over 6 Saturday’s during the Spring term at Uxbridge Civic Centre. UKMT National Maths Challenge & Olympiad for year 7 and 8 students administered by Leeds University.  London heat of UKMT Maths team Challenge hosted at Preston Manor High School for year 9 and 10 students. Participation in Borough Maths Challenges for all year groups. Maths successmaker support programme for KS3 students. Form time Mathematics sessions once per week for all students during afternoon registration.
