Women & Girls Network
Hello from Women & Girls Network!
We provide support to women and children who have experienced, or are at risk of violence.
As you might already be aware Douay Martyrs is our Champion School in Hillingdon this academic year. We have been working in partnership with the school since September 2017 to deliver the Whole Schools Approach (WSA). The WSA is an innovative programme aimed at encouraging young people to develop positive relationships based on respect and equality.
Although young people are at the project’s heart, the WSA involves everyone in the school community, encouraging all of us to be active in preventing Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). This term we have been delivering a workshop programme to a group of students from Year 8 & 9. The group aims to inspire young women, to build their confidence and to strengthen solidarity. We are looking forward to delivering an assembly and training for staff in the coming weeks.
Your lead worker is Zoe, VAWG Prevention Worker within the Young Women’s Team at Women & Girls Network. If you have any questions or are in need of support you can contact us by email on firstname.lastname@example.org. Details of our free advice & helplines can be found on our website (www.wgn.org.uk).
