New News Story

Science Department is running two external competitions for Spring Term

Competition #1

The first competition centres on designing a lab coat and is open to Year 7-9. For our school to be in with a chance of winning some lab coats, students are required to design a lab coat which illustrates what science means to them. This could be illustrations of their favourite science topics, science that affects life on our planet or anything else that makes think of science and the bigger picture. The more creative, the better!

Competition #2

The second competition is open to all Year Groups and centres on designing an invertebrate habitat for your school in our Grand Bug Designs competition. The winner of this competition will have their design actually made!

The competition is about designing a home for bugs:

  • Outline how your design will invite invertebrates into your school grounds.
  • Tell us what materials you would use for the project. The more eco-friendly, the better!
  • Be as creative and inventive with your design as you like. Think outside the box!
  • No outdoor space is too small – design something to suit the space that you have.
