  • The Douay Martyrs Catholic Secondary School Christmas Concert The event will take place on Wednesday 13th December 6:30-7:30pm in our main hall.

    Published 14/11/17

This year we will be holding a Christmas Concert here at The Douay Martyrs Catholic Secondary School. This event will take place instead of the usual Christmas Carol Concert (previously held at Sacred Heart Church), however we see this as an opportunity to combine aspects of the traditional carol service, with performances by our talented students at The Douay Martyrs School.

The evening will consist of a range of performances by our pupils (and staff!), as well as traditional Christmas carols and scripture readings.

The event will take place on Wednesday 13th December 6:30-7:30pm in our main hall, and will be followed by mince pies and mulled wine.

  • A Prayer for Remembrance

    Published 10/11/17

                   Dear God,

Help me to remember you are there for us,

That you will help us no matter what,

To remember, to forgive, to apologise,

To remember we have friends and family,

That there is always love around us.

Let us remember how lucky we are

And that you will always protect us.

Help us remember that if life knocks us down,

                  We can get up stronger,

And that you and others will help us through.

Help us to remember those who gave their lives for us.

We do this through Christ, Our Lord,

                  Amen.
